Before installation and start-up, we and the waterworks together send a circular to the consumers that describes the product and the function with a reconciliation of expectations, as we do not remove the scale but make it harmless and easy to remove from surfaces.

Increase in pump costs

In the article from the Institute of Technology: "Investigation into physical water treatment for solving limescale problems in water installations" the consequences of limescale in water pipes were investigated. The study showed that it costs 6 times as much energy to pump 12 liters of water per minute through a 20 mm pipe with 3 mm lime coatings, as it does with a pipe without coatings.

 

Significant deterioration of thermal conductivity

In the same article from the Technological Institute, the influence of lime on thermal conductivity was investigated. The result was that even a thin layer of lime causes a significant deterioration in thermal conductivity.

 

Repairs of valves and pipes

Accumulation of scale in pipes and valves causes problems to such an extent that it should be removed. This is most often done with chemicals that are harmful to the environment. The technology behind the solution from AMTech Aqua Miljø

The Limescale Crusher© and the solution from AMTech Aqua Miljø for water works works by sending impulses into the water pipe. The pulses change the orbital direction of the electrons in the water's hydrogen atoms.

 

Dimensioning and installation at the waterworks

Installation of the Limescale Crusher© is adapted to the individual waterworks and depends on the geography and size of the supply network, but the technology is the same regardless of the nature of the network. In general, the installation amounts to a one-time investment of approx. DKK 350 – 550 per user. You then have a maintenance-free installation that only consumes electricity for approx. DKK 200 annually.
